I'm sure a lot will depend on your room. On the up side, I've found Dual Concentric monitors to have a wider sweet spot than most because of how the high and low drivers are aligned. This can help out a lot in less than ideal room shapes and sizes.

I stumbled upon a used pair of Gold 8 on eBay and decided to just go with it. I am happy with the 8 because its height and the ISO stand brings the tweeter literally right on the same level with my ear. The 7 would be a little short.
