WebEasiest is to ask former owner to remove. IIRC, Nest products can't be setup to a second owner/home unless first removed. I believe this was to prevent stolen devices from being reused. However, I have heard you can call (or chat now I guess) support and if you provide sufficient info, they can remove it from previous account for you.
